Assessment

Our Model and Instruments

Through our partnerships with businesses, schools, government and not-for-profit agencies, we are gaining insight into how organizations use learning most effectively to achieve strategic goals and improve bottom-line results.  Using our Strategic Leverage Through Learning © model and assessment tools, we:

  • Measure organizational learning and performance
  • Profile strengths and weaknesses
  • Identify supports and barriers to learning and performance
  • Develop action plans for improving learning and performance
  • Measure outcomes that show progress toward strategic goals

We conduct a baseline assessment that helps identify key leverage points for change.  We then examine gaps and help our partners choose strategies and interventions to close these gaps.  After implementing solutions, partners use customized measures and metrics to track change against goals.  A reassessment shows changes against the baseline.

Organizations that have used the Strategic Leverage Through Learning © approach include:

  • Global manufacturing and service company
  • U.S. military organization
  • Health care organization
  • Japanese subsidiary of a Dutch pharmaceutical firm
  • Nuclear power plant
  • Federal judicial agency
  • Community-based collaboratives in a national welfare-to-work demonstration project
